Our Story
Located in the picturesque Cedar, British Columbia, just 20 minutes south of Nanaimo, the Fredrich's Honey farm has been in operation since 1966, passed down through the generations.
Theo and Erwin, brothers, began their beekeeping journey in the late 1960s. However, the roots of our brand go back even further to Theo Sr's childhood. At the tender age of 3, Theo Sr. was captivated by the bees of his neighbor near Odessa, Ukraine. This fascination led him to become a beekeeping apprentice in Germany at the age of 14, where he honed his craft under one of the largest beekeeping operations in the country. Through the years, his passion for natural beekeeping practices has never wavered, and even lead him to build his family home in the shape of a hexagon.
Today, Fredrich's Honey is still run by a family business, Chester and Jaclyn and their 3 children are proud to continue the legacy of Theo Sr. and offer you the purest and sweetest taste of life from Cedar, British Columbia.
